Mr. Tokoph, President and CEO, joined mba from the commercial aviation sector where he held senior positions in airlines and advised airlines and financial institutions in aircraft acquisitions.

Mr. Tokoph joined mba with a background in technical management, airline operations and aircraft trading.  Prior to mba, Mr. Tokoph worked with Southern Air, where he served as Vice President of Quality Control, overseeing technical operations of the airline as well as being an FAA Accountable Manager for the company.  Before Southern Air, Mr. Tokoph ran an Aviation Consulting Company that assisted airlines and leasing companies in the aquisition, sale, lease return, and delivery of aircraft worldwide.  Mr. Tokoph also served as the Director of Quality Assurance at MAXjet Airways and as an Engineer with Trans Meridian Airlines, where he began his career.

Mr. Tokoph is an ISTAT Certified Appraiser and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Maintenance Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida. He also holds both an FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics Certificate and a FAA Commercial Pilots license.

Mr. Shane Culleton

Shane Culleton is the Vice President of mba’s Asset Management group.  With over a decade of experience in aircraft leasing and asset management, his role is to lead mba’s remarketing campaigns for assets under management and advise investors on asset strategy.

Prior to joining mba, Shane spent thirteen years at BBAM, one of the world’s largest and longest standing aircraft lessors.  During his time at BBAM, Shane held multiple roles, most recently as Vice President of Asset Management and Trading.  Shane holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from Trinity College Dublin.

Mr. Marc Wilson

Head of Technical


Mr. Wilson’s extensive background in technical management and engineering for airlines and aircraft manufacturers has served him well in his position as Head of Technical at mba Aviation.

Marc Wilson joined mba in September 2007.  He now heads mba’s European office as the Head of the Technical Division.  With extensive experience in technical lease management, aircraft inspection, delivery, continuous management throughout the lease term, and aircraft redelivery, his role is to oversee mba’s technical services, including the asset management program.  He is responsible for overseeing asset management activities for all of mba’s investor clients, to include analyzing client aircraft utilization, maintenance reserve funding and invoice approval, regulatory compliance and aircraft condition.  In addition, he performs load and stress analysis of aircraft structures, designs aircraft and engine maintenance and modification programs, develops operating budgets, and negotiates supplier contracts with airframe, engine, and component maintenance providers.

Mr. Wilson has held Senior Engineering and Technical Management positions for American Eagle Airlines, Independence Airlines, and Compass Airlines.  Prior to joining mba, he served as Senior Manager of Technical Engineering for Compass Airlines and was Director of Technical Services at Independence Air.  In addition to his work with air carriers, Mr. Wilson has also held engineering positions for two aircraft manufacturers.

Mr. Wilson has over 30 years of experience in the aviation industry, including experience in engineering, and also maintenance and technical service experience with aircraft manufacturers and regional airlines. In addition, Mr. Wilson holds ONC and HNC qualifications in aeronautical engineering and a C & GLI qualification in aeronautical engineering, both from the College of Technology in Belfast. He has completed the Systems Safety Training course through the FAA and has studied fracture mechanics at George Mason University.

Mr. Laing is the Manager of Technical Services based in our London office.  In this role, Dave supports the development of mba’s technical growth across the region as well as providing continued support to our current clients.

Mr. Laing has extensive MRO and airline operations experience providing technical oversight, physical aircraft and component inspection, records management, project planning and execution, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and OEM guidelines.
